HERRERA WANT'S TALKS WITH LVG

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is unhappy with his role at Old Trafford and is set for showdown talks with Louis van Gaal, according to the Daily Star.

The Spaniard arrived from Athletic Bilbao for £29million in June 2014, but has only started six Premier League matches for United this season.
It's worth noting that these things are almost always overblown but the potential rift comes at a critical time for the Manchester side. Fans have been voicing concern over the dull tactics and dreary play at Old Trafford, an aesthetic frustration despite them currently sitting third in the Premier League. Herrera has often been seen as a possible source of that much-needed creativity but just 32 appearances since being signed in June 2014 has become too big an issue for the Spaniard to ignore.

These disputes are common at big clubs: after all, the looming Euros next summer are far from a foregone conclusion for Herrera unless he makes a regular and visible impact on the pitch. Herrera is currently injured, having tweaked his hamstring in the Nov. 21 match against Watford, but we expect this conflict to continue upon his return to full fitness.
